How To Lucid Dream
For decades, teaching one how to lucid dream has been a successful treatment for those suffering from nightmares. The reason it works effectively is because a lucid dream is when the dreamer is fully aware that they are in a dream state and what’s happening around them is not physical reality. The dreamer usually makes the rationalization that what’s happening around them is not real because they can usually identify something that doesn’t make sense within the dream, called a dreamsign, like meeting a deceased relative, flying through the air or other impossibilities.
While not exactly dream control, learning how to have lucid dreams provides one with the ability to influence the course of events in their dream. A lucid dreamer cannot control when or where the dream is taking place, but they can often control their own actions within the dream once they make the realization that they are dreaming. Lucid dreams allow one to feel completely free of physical restraints to the point that many people express extreme levels of satisfaction upon waking. By following certain lucid dreaming techniques, one can teach themselves how to lucid dream in as fast as three nights to three weeks.
