Color Dreams
Dreaming in Color – The Meaning of Colors in Dreams
Believe it or not, color dreams have meaning, so take notice of the colors that appear in your dreams. Does a certain color remind you of something from your past? While some common interpretations of colors in dreams are listed below, it is important to consider how you personally feel about a color or what it might symbolize to you as an individual. For example, if you remember a vivid orange sunset at a beach when you were a child, the appearance of that same orange in a dream may relate to a feeling you had at that time.
Black – Symbolizes mystery, darkness and the unconscious. It suggests that you go deep into your unconscious in order to better understand yourself.
Blue – Wisdom, truth, heaven and tranquility are some of what blue color dreams represent. Seeing blue in a dream can symbolize optimism.
Gold – Gold can be interpreted as richness and spiritual reward, as well as determination.
Green – The appearance of green can mean positive change, vitality, fertility, growth and peace. It can also be interpreted more literally as "go ahead," you've got a green light.
Orange – Orange is a color that represents stimulating the senses and symbolizes hope, friendliness, sociability and generosity.
Pink – The concepts of sweetness, happiness, joy and kindness are reflected through the color pink. However, pink color dreams could also mean weakness, especially in relation to love.
Purple – Purple symbolizes love, compassion, royalty, healing abilities and devotion.
Red – This color represents deep emotions and spiritual connections. When red appears in a dream it indicates force, raw energy and intense passion.
White – White is interpreted as peace, purity, cleanliness and new beginnings such as taking a fresh start or a clean, blank slate.
Yellow – This color has two entirely different interpretations. The positive interpretation is that yellow symbolizes energy, happiness, wisdom, and intellect. Yellow, however, can also represent fear, sickness, cowardice, deceit and betrayal.
